Color Consultation
Carleton Varney has paired with Benjamin Moore to create a Dorothy Draper color style that focuses on the vivid, as well as the symphonically pastel. The Draper pallet believes that the neutrals go way beyond beige, white, and grey. The Varney/Draper neutrals are soft aquamarine blue, sunny yellow and even pink. And you do know or may not; pink, chocolate, and caramel all go together.
Space Planning
Dorothy Draper & Co’s senior architect, Daniel Parker, is able to transform any space in both the classic way or in the contemporary style. The firm has taken on the design of every style from Moroccan to Grecian to ultra modern – highlighting the structural world with glass, granite, and steel interiors.
Special Events Planning
While working on projects, Carleton Varney has been asked to style major events, including White House functions for presidents, prime ministers, and royals. He has worked with first and second ladies – including Rosalynn Carter, Barbara Bush, Nancy Reagan, Marilyn Quayle, and Joan Mondale.
Textile Design
He continues to create new and exciting designs in the textile world of art and design. He is able to translate one’s vision into any type of wallpaper, fabric, or carpeting combing textile with color for Carleton V Ltd. He works with his son, Sebastian, who oversees the showrooms throughout the US.
