Ernest W. Fox has been with Dorothy Draper & Co. Inc. for over 30 years. He was formerly a designer and decorator with W. and J. Sloane in New York City. He has worked with Mr. Varney as the illustrator for a number of books, including his first book You and Your Apartment and subsequent books The Family Decorates a Home, Decorating with Color, and Carleton Varney Decorates Windows. His work has appeared in numerous publications and he is well known as a water colorist and as a painter of yachting scenes.
